diplcment problem zbrush3.1 to maya 2009

i am texturing a creature. the creature has displacment maps from z brush3.1 all 32 bit displacment map 2048 res. i am also using textures of 4 k res as my colour mapis attached to sub surface and ya i am using maya 2009 .i was testing things out when i stubled across this problem the method i am using for displcament maps is the one suggested by scott spencer in the zbrush forum he has a tut for same on gnomonology here is the link

now if no displacment is applyed the textures are fine , if just displacment is applyed then also displacment is working correctly but the minute i apply displacment with the textures the textures dissappear kind of as if they are tearing. below are the following images i have posted to illustrate the same . first i though it is a problem with subsurafce but same happens with blinn so i i am certain it is not shader problem also it is not a uv problem i have checked the uv they are merged and all perfect no overlapping not a map problem i guess it some problem with approximation editor in may 2009 plz help me ot deadline is on the doorstep an i need to tweak a hell lot of things

I don’t use Maya, but I see at least one displacement+maya question on this forum every day, and I’d bet the family goat that your question has already been answered ten fold on here. Have you tried running a search?

i searched i also downloaded the script by scoot spencer but i am still facing a issue the tearing is gone but now there are wierd art effects and there is huge loss of detals
