As a i r stated above, the background is Photoshop work. Beautiful, incredible, AMAZING photoshop work. This man knows his stuff!
great job!
I would love to see you experiment with pushing a warm-cool atmospheric perspective thing with the background, to get the sauropods to recede into space a bit more. Maybe less contrast as they recede as well?
thanks,
-m.
I can almost smell the mud, feel the atmosphere and hear the distant cries of the dinos. I am blown away by your talent my friend. I made it my desktop as a source of inspiration and a testament of what I will never achieve. Thank you so much for sharing…
Thx is so worn out and overused word,
but nothing better comes to my mind so thank you guys for taking time to check out/comment my work
@tyrellcorp_Thank you!! I wish I could say I have done some work for “Walking With Dinosaurs”. Maybe I’l get lucky on some future episodes.
I haven’t used any projection techniques for this image. 3D models were lit, shaded and rendered on simple planes with matte shadow material applied to them(to extract shadow for compositing)
@mbaldwin_Thanks! While I probably wont spend any more time on this image, I might have couple new ones where I could make the atmospheric perspective more pronounced
@MontanaMan_Very kind of you!
“I can almost smell the mud, feel the atmosphere and hear the distant cries of the dinos” Your comment made me sigh.
If you stick to something long enough everything is achievable.
btw, I’ve visited your website, I love your chairs!
Super Dino! Excellent!

Thank you guys!!
I hope I can update this thread with new dinosaur illustration over coming days…
Happy Halloween guys
This is a quick postcard type render and at the same time teaser for one of my upcoming Dinosaur models.
This one will be special.
If the foot is that awesome, I can’t wait to see the rest!
Hello Urchinator blogger friend Yeah, hopefully I’l manage maintaining this level of awesomness
Awesome dinos man, love 'em!
Hi guys, long time no post. This is my latest paleo related model, sculpted, retopologized and textured in Zbrush, rendered in max mental ray 2009.
Fur layer also created in max.
Quetzalcoatlus, one of the largest avian reptiles that ever flew the earth skies.
According to wikipedia, the most recent research about this animal shows that its wingspan was around 10-12 meters.
Almost the size of a Standard Class Glider.
Model was originally built for Sinking Ship Entertainment.
This is the further personal development of that model where I’ve changed the color, added fur and made some small changes to the mesh.
Still trying to further develop the fur layer. I tried Zbrush fibers and it is fantastic, tho, haven’t used it in this instance.
wow, great job! the model looks really cool! Though the head and neck together look more massive than the body for some reason. Or is that just the camera angle?
lookin great
good good job small_orange_diamond
good boy
Thx. This animal appears to have big head cos of long beak and the neck looks bigger than it is cos of the fur on its back.
