Nice model sword lord. I saw animation too, and while it is probably hard to say how they should move, but I think it swing up and down too much. See eg this:

Kiwi center of gravity or head dosen’t move much up or down, and same goes or other animal since moving up and down requires lots of work, and doesn’t move you forward anyway. I’m not animator but these are my thoughts. Nice last render.

Well, first of all I have to say that I’m not a professional animator and that video was just a test of the rig which was done for the dino by my friend for our project. I repeated this about 1000 times and I think that’s my destiny now. And that will be the lesson for me not to show test-videos in future. :lol:

But about your video… That’s not correct to compare dinosaur and kiwi. T-rex had 7 tons weight but the birds are very light and they have a light bones, so their movements will be very different. In addition dinosaurs had a long powerful tails and that will affect to the balance and to the gait of course.
We may only be guided by the birds’ movements but we can’t just copy they. =)

A tiny crit: In some closeups, the beasties look a little flat/smooth though, ie the latest one of the Corythosaurus, and have a little high-class rubber/plastic-toyish look. Well, at least to my eyes.:wink:
