Dinosaurs

These all are truely amazing and inspirational! Here’s hoping I may one day be half as good!
What’s the average poly count on these?

Axe

Thanks! =)

What’s the average poly count on these?

If you speak about poly count of sculpting, then it’s about 8-20 million polygons. Lowpoly versions for rendering and animation usually have about 15 000 -40 000 polys.

Ready! =)

Your work is INCREDIBLE!!!

WOW this is just amazing.
Perfect topology, sculpts, texturing everything looks brilliant.
I think the dinosaurs in the past would be honored to be represented like that.

And here is my new T-rex model which was created for “Ultimate Dinosaurs: Giants from Gondwana” (exhibition at Royal Ontario Museum). There were used some interesting technologies including Augmented reality and Kinect. Video from exhibition:

This is a great thread. These sculpts all exemplify attention to detail, and the textures, lighting, and final comps are so well done. Your final illustrations are so beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration.
