Awesome work, i love it and thanks a lot for the Tutorial

I have a question for you, when you do your step 2 do you stay in low poly (using move / clay / inflate / standard) or do you switch between higher level of details and low poly ?

By the way i love your dinos but i am a real huge fan of how you put them in situation with the water and stuffs, very good work man !

This is sooo adorable!
although dinos are not really my thing I have to say I love those renders

but I found those water and fume renders equally nice
Can you shed any light on how to make those effect renders so detail and natural? Did you just painting and photo manipulating or use 3D software to render them? Thanks and again great concept and renders!

awesme stuff dude!! love it
5 star:+1:

They remind me of a cooler version of the Extreme Dinosaurs. Very nice now all we need is the Street Sharks n Biker Mice from Mars

Your work are awesome. Keep going.

Fantastic work on these guys. Love all of them. My only critique is on the logo. It’s reading as 3M to just about anyone who is looking at it here. I can’t imagine we’re the only ones. Otherwise, great, great work.

plasmagolem_ I tend to subdivide mesh about 3-4 time.
I save the highest subdivision levels 5-7 for the texturing.

garethcowboy_ I have explained the water thing more on the page 3 of this thread, on the page 4 you can even find psd layer setup for painting water.

Kamen Sensai_ I know, I almost finished my work on these characters when I found out about couple of concepts with this type of characters which was a bit dissapointing to me. But looking at them, as you said, I realized mine look cooler.

dopepope_ I allready got some critique on the logo, and I see now places for the improvement, thx for ading to the list, appreciated.

Thx for commenting guys, gratefull for that:+1:!

Congratz on Top Row! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: !

Congrats! And thanks for sharing the breakdown!

Oh man, you don’t know how inspired I am by your work. I’ve been trying to define a style for a project we’re doing but found out how hard it is to do stylized characters in comparison to realism. There’s so much thinking involved it’s been driving me crazy. It’s suppose to be 2d, but all I can do is think 3D. Looking at yourself, I’m thinking, hey I can do 3D and output to 2D.

I got a question for you, How did you do the water effect and smoke effect? It looks so amazing.

Great job. The compo with the tentacle monster is supa. I want figurines of Dino-Monsters

I might have missed this but, did you do everything with Zbrush, base models and all? and Photoshop?
Also your comic book did you do that with Photoshop?
Just curious… I am trying to decide what software I wanted to use for my needs and your work is great, I’s what I was looking for. so inspiring !
Thanks for the thread
