digital sculpting questions

Ok, here goes. I finally took the plunge and bought zb2 this weekend, and I’m still taking baby steps.

I have some questions about what happens to a mesh when you start using some of the edit tools.

Do they add or remove polygons, or do they just move them around? So suppose I want to limit poly count, but need some areas of fine detail. If I just sculpt it (i.e. manipulate it with the various edit tools) will it end up with more polygons in those areas or do I have to subdivide the regions that I want to put more detail on.

Also, does anybody have any little tips/tricks that they’d like to share on working with the various polymesh edit tools and the various settings. I’ve gotten beyond making a disaster every time I click the mouse button but I still don’t have a feel for it so any little bits of advice along those lines would probably help me a lot.

I have made a zscript with the model i am posting below, press in the zscript panel “Show actions and notes” to see each step and have time to wacht carefully this minitutorial. I am not a master just a zbrusher that enjoy with this wonderful program but there are some tips that in good hands will work¡
