Hi everyone,
I’ve done some searching around but it’s been awhile since I’ve done this sort of modelling and I’m not sure if I’m using the correct terms for Zbrush as nothing is coming up so I was hoping that someone might be be able to help me.
I do leather carving on cases, wallets & belts and as leather is getting more expensive I was hoping to use Zbrush for digital mock ups to get the design sorted out before I transfer it to the actual leather. I’m not that comfortable with Zbrush at the moment so have been exporting the model to Photoshop CS6 to work on it there.
I’ve managed to get a fairly decent looking UV map from Zbrush but the problem is it’s not quite the shape of the thing I’m making and I would like to be able to transfer the design drawings from Photoshop on to Illustrator where I usually prepare the design for tracing onto the leather.
As I’m doing a few wrap around designs for cases at the moment and with how the UV map is not all the pieces line up correctly when I get them into in Illustrator. I vaguely remember moving points around on the UV Map in Maya but I haven’t used it since version 7 and I don’t know Zbrush well enough to know if that is possible.
So could someone tell me if it is possible to move points (verts) around in Zbrush on the UV maps or will I have to get another program for that.
Thank you for your help with this
Cheers,
cemwozzie
