Sorry i don´t understand well the difference between work with a model like a colum or pilar like the videotutorial by Sebastien Legrain and make the unified skin in this pilar or colum or by other way make a polymesh 3d.
What is the differnce in this models? One with unified skin or other with polymesh 3d?
thanks very much.
a unified skin is a highly dense mesh that is all QUADs.
making a polymesh 3d is like changing a primitive into an ePoly inside of MAX.
pm3d will keep tris but will keep the base geometry of the object.
both have their uses
thanks for reply.
What is QUADS and MAX?
I don´t understand very well your reply by the other way thanks for reply me.
a quad is a 4 sided polygon (quadrangle)
a tri is a 3 sided polygon (triangle)
MAX is 3dstudioMax. It’s an autodesk 3d product.
Oh!Thanks so much.
But when you say both have they uses,What do you refer?
This is the problem i don´t understand well when i have to do a unified skin and when a polymesh 3d.
Polymesh 3d is necesary to start the sculp process in a primitive by the other way Sebastien Legrain make a unified skin in the video tutorial of architecture when he works with the colum or pilar.
Thanks in advance
