I’ve been using both and don’t see the difference. Lol.
one is using a square alpha with a sharp edge. The other uses a round alpha with a soft fall off. They do the exact same thing in terms of how clay is applied to the mesh.
Most people will use claytubes early on as a sketchy way to build up the mesh, then move onto the clay brush for refining areas.
