He is cool as hell. Looks like he came from Pixar or Disney, nice work.
Great design, great character. Some of your fill lights or the rim light are illuminating areas that might benefit from shadow casting- the interior of the mouth looks like it is picking up extra illumination. Other then that- the lighting is great too.

That came out real sweet! 
Fantastic job at a simple but quality character. He has so much expression too, great posing of the face. Like others have said this looks like it would have come out of a major studio or at least some kind of TV show.
