Deleting HD Levels

Hi everyone,
I have a character and I was fiddling around with HD levels, but as I look at them I don’t think I need the added resolution. That, and mental ray keeps crashing so I wanted to try something simpler first. It has made my file much bigger so I was just hoping to streamline things a bit. Thanks!

p.s. just curious, but how do you know if the HD levels have even gotten into your displacement maps? Do they just automatically get implemented in? Thanks again!

To delete the HD levels, simply press Tool>Clone and select the new model in the tool palette. The clone won’t have HD.

As for HD being used in your maps, it’s currently not. There’s no way at the moment to be able to export HD details to other apps.
