Is there a way to draw a curve over your mesh, say along a arm or tube etc, and use that to bend the mesh, as opposed to transpose, i think having those multiple points of the curve would make some deformation easier.
Also how do i bake a single 3d layer of polypaint when i have multiple layers?
I don´t think is possible to use curves as a deformer. You can use ZSpheres insted…
About the layers it´s not possible to bake just one layer. But i can´t imagine a situation where you need to bake a layer and keep others. May be if you explain to us your particular case we can find something handy
Not in the precise way that you mean. You can bind a mesh to a zbrush armature to deform it, and add as many zspheres to the chain that you want for complexity.
However, you can create an insert mesh brush with a curve , draw it out, pose and deform it as a curve until you get the position that you want. This is ideal for things like tentacles, spines, chains, roper, cables, etc.
thank you both for your info, i know about zspheres (was here when they first started lol) but i was just hoping curves could be used cause they are so easily laid down.
about the paint layers, i wanted to bake single layers because i like to do painting in zbrush as opposed to PS
About to bake one single layer. The only way i can figure how to solve is clone the object and delete all layer you don´t need to bake. After you can append and proyect on a new layer the baked ones.
BTW Subtool Master > Do Visible > turn off layers does not work…
