Deformation>Flatten question

Hello everyone.

I have a coin shaped object. I want to flatten high spots on both sides of the coin by using Deformation>Flatten.

I have the right axis picked which for me is Z but I’m not understanding how to flatten both sides of the coin at the same level and how to even do this procedure wise.

I try lightly clicking on the Flatten button, and then I can input a value, and I can flatten one side. But then if I try to gently pick the flatten button it automatically goes higher and on the same direction each time. I’m not sure how to flatten both sides evenly.

Does anyone know how I can do this?

I think I figured it out. After I was happy with one side. I saved the project, and then when viewing the other side, I made the slider go negative values for the Flatten slider.

So the key is positive values for one side, and then negative values for the other side.
