defect on the rendered surface

Hi.

I love to display my models by software called

3D Exploration. It can offer point, mesh, solid and transparent variations of rendering. Transparent may be selected to show the inner organization of the object (cavities). And I can easily move the model any way with the mouse… For animation.

Only often, when I use Zbrush spheres as the building units, I find some lines as though bulging out in solid display (when observed within 3D Exploration ). I know those lines originate from the mesh lines, but appear in solid rendering.

I need to get rid of such. I want it smooth all over.

Can I?

See below example of uterus built in Zbrush, with lines deforming the solid view of the model, saved from “3D Exploration” program.

Do the same creases appear when you render the model in other applications, or only in Deep Exploration? If it’s only in DE, then you know that there’s nothing wrong with the model, but rather with the import settings or some other feature of DE. You should then be able to find the solution in the DE manual or on their user boards.

Hi dear friend.
Regretfully, other programs also display the defect.
See below another model, renderd by the Zbrush 2, then Wings 3d. At the end there is example from Poser 5.
I decided to include also the mesh (in Wings 3d example). The inside of the mesh shows the cavity in the uterus. I managed to make the cavity by Zspheres. Seems like twisting the sphere link inside the outer formation can deform the surface?
I am not good in building complex meshes by combining those. The rather that
I cannot learn to use Multitooll: I cannot see the inside ot the outer mesh, thus cannot orientate myself to place the inner part…
I admire Zspheres to quickly form the carcass, also by sending some of them inside the mesh, to avoid constructing another mesh in order that to combine them later…
Now, can you suggest some way to avoid the crease?

One of your renders shows exactly what the problem is – the edges aren’t welded. There should be ways in your other programs to handle this, and there are two ZBrush methods:

  1. Turn off Tool>Export>Grp before you export the model.

or

  1. With the entire model visible, press Tool>Polygroups>Group Visible to assign all parts of the model to the same group. They will then export without the need to weld.

Hi.
No, it did not work.
Thanks all the same for your response
