Default save folder for Spotlight (.zsl) files

In Lightbox, there is a category called “Spotlight”, which I had assumed is where you can find your saved spotlight texture sets, but the category is empty. When I save my .zsl file, either through the File menu or through the Texture palette, I am directed to the ZImportExport folder. I can’t seem to find where this “Spotlight” category folder in Lightbox is located.

I am an organizational freak, and it bugs me to save anything in my ZImportExport folder. I even moved all of the alphas and textures that were in it on installation (which are in their respective ZAlpha and ZTexture folders anyway). Plus, why have a category if you don’t know how to save to it?

Anyway, not the most pressing problem going on with the Zeeks right now, but anyone who can help would have my appreciation.

No one? Yet? I know there are more pressing issues, so I’ll wait, but I hope this doesn’t get lost in the fray.

I think you can fill your needs saving as a Project, there will be all you have used…texture, ztl…i think could be,still waiting my email:D

You are correct, adresloy. However, this is not what I am asking. I want to know what the empty category is for and how I can save Spotlight files to it. The reason is because I could, say, set up a Spotlight texture set with skin samples and eyes, etc, to be used for polypainting and texturing faces and use it all the time without having to set up new texture sets. Right now, these .zsl files default to the ZImportExport folder, which I do not want to do. I want to know where that Spotlight folder is located.

Anyway, I appreciate your answer. As you have always been (for the last 8 years that I’ve known you), you are a great source for advice and assistance. I hope you get your download very soon. Seems a shame that a veteran like yourself is at the end of the queue.

Ah, i see now excuse.Well i was looking in the guide and you have an option in the texture palette, once you have press shift+z to activate the spotlight…after you work with it you can save pressing the save spotlight button in the texture palette and now if i understand well when you do that promt you to the zimport/export folder, right? so i suggest that for the first time create a new folder in the ZBrush main folder with the appropiate name so when you open again pressing the load button in the texture panel will put straight in that new folder, is my guess…
and thanks for your kind words , always is an oportunity to learn from you!
cheers:+1:
