heres my latest… nothing special… wanted to get an old kinda looking drawing style thing… think ive overdone it a bit… :confused: but im learnig all the time so i at least have an excuse… :stuck_out_tongue:

what do you guys think??

Nothing special??? Overdone??? Talk about a perfect example of british understatement!!! I love the sculpting and mood, mate! Remove some of those volumetric lights and reduce their intensity, throw in some nice caustics on the beast, add some depth in the water by simulating some fog or micro-particles, fade out the blue on the body with some greenish/beige tones and you’ve got a perfect render. Keep it up!

Have to agree with some of highlanders comments about the caustics on the beast, but otherwise can’t find anything to critique. When I saw the first image, the b&w, I thought it would be better if he were a bit more blurry…near the snout, it seemed a bit to sharp because water would have softened the edges some. But you completely corrected that in the color version. :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:
