hi everyone,
i am asking after anyone that could give me their decimation master workflows as i am getting a little confused on how to get my sculpted geo out of zbrush with all of the uvs and polypainting intact so that i can render them in maya.
i have ended up with 10 versions of the same obj , one with decimation first then painted polypainting and guv, one with no decimation until just before i export it after i polypainted it etc etc. My brain hurts…
i just need a sure fire streamlined working method to get my objs out as low as possiable with all of the uvs and polypainting there that actually work correctly when i put them on in maya. at the moment all i get is lots of triangles in my renders , or if i dont use decimation the polycount is way to high and maya crashes, but thats the only way to see the textures correctly.
any help on this would be most grateful…!!
