when i use decimation master it leaves me with mesh errors like manifold edges and other when i import the mesh into mudbox for texture baking even though i started my mesh as a sphere in zbrush and used dynamesh to work. is there something i should have done to preserve a cleaner mesh? also when i sculpt in very small details they don’t translate very well into 3ds max or mudbox. any tips or tricks out there for me?
before you export you should tool.geometry.modify topology.close holes, that should fix your manifold errors.
I’m not sure what you mean by your details aren’t transferring, if the geometry is there your other applications should read it the exact same.
i will try that option but what i meant by details arent transfering is that very small details get lost after export
Are you using displacement maps in the other software?
no i am not, i usually do my baking in mudbox so thats where i take my model after
