Hello there guys, after clicking decimate current it changes the position of my model therefore displacing it from it’s sub tool. Does anyone have any inclination of what might be wrong?

Without your whole UI(showing your version) and operating system(more information), it will be tough.
Have you updated to ZB4R7 P3?
Hello Doug thanks for responding, this version i have of Zbrush i got 4 months ago. Has there been an update since then? i haven’t seen anything.
It should say ZB4R7 P3 at the top of you are up to date.
