Dear Pixologic Team: Zbrush S3D, About time?

Dear Pixologic Team, as one of the most innovative software developer ever, please rethink about implementing s3d into Zbrush.

Imagine sculpting your object with immersive S3D.

This fall sony is releasing a new head mounted Display. The HMZ-T1.
I hope its finally a revive for the VR Generation. I dont advertise the product.
Imo its the first high quality consumer VR Solution and since i am waiting for along time for a good consumer vr solution,
i hope its a game changer.

The HMZ-T1 has:
FOV 45 °
3D Mode 720p
2D Mode 1080P
OLED

Zbrush User what do you think about this topic? Pls adress your need for s3d sculpting to pixologic

cheers

i think before 3d implementation that a tablet optimized zbrush would be a better place to go. whether the tech is good or not, the first few generations of things like sony’s visor will be prohibitively expensive for your average zbrush user to get, and i imagine that to convert zbrush’s 2.5d pixol format to an accurate representation in 3d space would be taxing on the realtime rendering engine. when you’re already pushing a machine to the point of meltdown to squeeze in just another million polys anything taxing the processors would be epic fail

but a tablet optimized zbrush or sculptris… where you could use your fingers to play with clay… where you could pinch at a surface and literally pich that surface … so long as it came out for android before/not just for ipad i’d run out and spend a ridiculous sum of money on a new tablet just for playing with zbrush .

i honestly think wacom/pixologic/viewsonic(for hardware)/and maybe adobe should all team up to develop an honest to goodness game developer/digital artist geared tablet. dual touch systems to allow for wacom style pressure sensitivity with a pen… capacitive touch to allow for pressure sensitive multi-touch. tilt controls to assist with navigating around a mesh. make it with the digital artist as your primary customer and i think it would sell… and THEN if you want to work something 3d out when the parrelax barrier display like whats in the 3ds get much much much much more opitmized and less headache causing… then you have a smaller form factor where it would make sense to start including 3d tech.
