Is the spider entirely 3D? Or did you just replace the face?
If you can call that a face…

thomas

(die Fliege ist echt klasse, mein Freund
Great work on the spider and the fly + good compositing.
I hate insects, but yours looking very good
Both superb, the fly is the surperberistist:D
I find the blend more sympathetic here.
A new and fresh feel to ZBrush creation and a nice mix between modeling and traditional painting skills.
Bravo to you.
Ofcoarse if you show off you have to share some knowledge - it’s the rules
really great work, man !!!
congrats
WOWW!! Both images look wonderful…
would you mind sharing your tips and tricks?
Yong
Thanks for the words,
well - There is no special Voodoo behind, exept intesive layering and additive compositing in Photoshop. The Zbrush models are both quite simple and took only about 15min, each. i used pixolators soft-light-setup as start, and modified until it matched the light of the Photos. Advantage was, that i took these pictures, so i knew, where exactly the light comes from and whether its hard or soft light.
it`s more a meditative job for me…shifting layers, change colours, just a nice flow…try and error, again, again…lot of fun

thomas

Great montage…did you do all of the texturing in Photoshop , or some in Zbrush ?.. creepy looking fly !
jantim
So real
Texturing is mostly done in Zbrush. I added some strokes in Photoshop, too, but only a few.
Texturing is perhaps even a little too much… Its more colorizing…

thomas
Danke Thomas!
Schoenen Tag noch
