Dark Elf Mia

Hey guys,

I’ve completed the texturing of this character and I’m calling it done!

Programs used: Maya, Zbrush, Mudbox (for the texturing) & Vray

I hope you like her. Cheers

Great job man.love it.;)

This should go in top row for sure, your model is so clean and shaders are spot on wow…

Excellent work!

Am I correct to assume that you were inspired by Phillip Harris Genois (dark Elf Syn), (http://www.cgmeetup.net/home/3d-character-by-philip-harris-genois/)?

Nevertheless, congratulations with creating such a wonderful piece, she looks outstanding!!!

Good job man!

This is so awesome! Thank you for sharing! Only positive things to say here:

  • I like the very small subtle crescent shaped ordainments, they are not bold cultural references, but imply the dark elves culture. They are also placed carefully throughout.
  • Her skin-tone is appealing, but gives off this aura of mysticism, like she has literal blue blood or is vampire; executed well.
  • The face (my favorite part of your model, and of many pin-up artists construct), is very soft and believable. Her zygomatic is very subtle, but the cylinder shape is still recognizable and appealing; something difficult to execute. The lips texuring and cavities are really well executed. Also, the shape of the brow, very subtle and soft, yet still with recognizable grounded shapes; well executed
  • The cape looks real, I wish I knew your tech to making nice capes like that

Fantastic stuff, I really like your character!

Hey d’artbot, you’re correct there, I was inspired by his elf, although I didn’t see it until I was very late in my own elf project. My main inspiration was drawn from the Dark Elves in the Warhammer universe.

mephist0 good job man!

Thankyou!

Hey takai, I’m stoked you noticed all those things and it makes my happy to hear your thoughts about my elf! Cheers mate. For the cape I used Marvelous Designer for the simulation. It takes a bit to get your head around but there are some good resources out there now on how to use it in conjunction with zbrush or maya. A
