Hi all,
Here’s new piece of my personal art work, Portrait of Clint Eastwood.
Since I began my career as a game artist more than 3 years ago ,I have never made a personal game character for myself,so It’s quite a long time before I started this model my idea was creating my own game character as realistic as possible, then I chosed Clint Eastwood, this fantastic actor. And recently i finally got some spare time to finish it ,and rendered two pictures for him.
Teclically, for the quality reason,I didnt use normal map for the head but displacement map to get a better result. Also I didnt use polygon hairs , instead it I used shave and a haircut .And about the texture size,there are some 4k textures for the head, and 2k textures for the clothes and hands includ normal ,color,and specular maps. I used mental ray sss shader for the head and hand. hair was rendered in another scenes by maya default software render.

I only have one crit though, the eyes at the top few renders dont quite look right to me, im not too sure what it is, but the rest is awesome!:+1:small_orange_diamond:)

Great model. The zbrush models look fantastic. The cloth sculpting looks pretty solid however i not to convinced by the shirt texture looks low res and painted. Maybe try manipulating a photograph of a real shirt hopefully will give you a better result. The belt buckle kind of unfinished.

Really awesome work. The only part I don’t like is his dirty/bloody shirt. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in a movie where he looks like a slob. As Dirty Harry he was a nicely dressed cop, and even as Josey Wales he was still clean. This looks more like his character in Gran Torino.

Absolutely love it. I think it could have resembled Clint Eastwood a little bit better. But incredible work. Congrats, you should be very proud

IMO this hand is top row. Enough for me. Eyes aren’t that good, nose too. Hair is the usual non convincing result of a famous plug-in. Shoulders are wrong (its a sensitive and extremely difficult area). Texture on shirt is not good either. But I vote for top row. These hands have soul.
