Hi,just wanted to show you my final piece while on the tough Letterbox Remote Mentor program for 3 months. Its a concept piece for the “Clash of the Titans” ---- the “Kraken”. Also shown is a close up of the greek lady in the Kraken’s grasp.

this is a character wip i’m working at during the (few) spare time, some sort of demon-haunted-powered-up assassin (the demon residing in the giant shield she carries)

Wow thats very cool, how did you go about making the chainmail shirt?
I used a self made custom JS script made in XSI, cloning a single torus on a series of curves placed to mimic the profile of the chainmail…always promised to redo it to make the process directly on surfaces (now it only works with curves so between one row and the other there are some gaps), but didn’t find the time to understand how to evaluate the U and V coordinates via scripting
