Amazing
thank you so much for the great replies!
Th3estric - I first tried zbrush 2 in 2005, but only started to use it frequently after version 3, maybe in 2007 or so. I feel old now.
awesomeness
This is mind blowing, I hope to someday be this good.
Absolutely amazing, beautiful sculpts! Saved to my inspiration folder.
I rarely comment, but I had to seeing as your work is so awesome!
I really enjoy the samurai, I think you were a little hard on yourself regarding the poses, I feel the poses are very interesting and are a refreshing change instead of seeing the typical poses that seems to accompany these character themes.
I really dig the civil war(?) guy leaning up against the tree, great pose and expression!
All your work is top notch, thanks for sharing!
thanks guys for the great comments, its much appreciated!
redub - thanks a lot! yes, he’s civil war-ish, at least most references I looked at were. I’m sure the clothing and such isn’t authentic, I just liked the style
as for the samurai poses - they kinda started out much more twisted, creepier, but after a while i got tired of the idea, thats why they kinda got stuck in-between creepy twisted and semi-realistic. but i suppose its like that with most things, if I work on it for a while after some time I mostly see mistakes. Its better to let go, and start something new than to patch up mistakes here and there. I try to maintain some freshness in the works i do, and its hard if I see them too much. Thats definitely something i learned now :).
You are now my idol! I LOVE your samurai work! just soooo awesomee!
I agree with some of the comments here, I personally feel your poses are so perfect as they are.
Congrats on the top row and please keep making more super cool sculpts!
Very inspirational for me!
