Damaged concrete sharp edges

Hello i have been trying to replicate damaged concrete but without sucess:(

Thought maybe someone knew a tutorial that explains what brush and how i costimize it and how the alpha sjuld look like becuse i have tryed all i can think of,Even masks but that worked even worse

What are you using for reference pics? Damaged concrete can have numerous appearances. You’ll probably want to use more than one brush. I’ld say using the Noise feature & masking would be a good start.

Well i try to replicate the damaged concrete in the image i posted above.But as i said im doing something very wrong and need some type of example how to do :confused:

In the image you see it has sharp edges and flat in the bottom like a stairstep,Not sure how to archive that with zbrush 3.5

I have made a lot of custom alpha textures but i think im useing the wrong brushes,Also there are millions of different settings both for the stroke,alpha and brush so im kind of lost here,I cant even replicate it on a simple cube :frowning:

Its pretty annoying to see all character tutorials but almost nothing about environments,Anyway i cant find anything that explains this kind of subject!

Anyone may be know though if there is a tutorial on this or indepth explination,Not just use a brush and begin to mask.That doesnt say how or if there is a special alpha mask

I know how to create a basemesh but nothing in here tells me what i asked about :rolleyes:

i have had my eyes on this tread from the start,I really hope to see a tutorial from this guy in the future becuse its amazing work he´s posted!!

Anyway i guess i need to try another week and see if i can replicate this concrete damages,Just cant figure out how to make it this realistic

Noone that can tell me?Cant find any good explination on this,Maybe he use 2 diffrent meshes?Its a jungle of brushes and alphas ,Brushsettings,Strokesettings …

Must it be this hard :confused:
