This is a focused post on what i did in ZBrush for the whole thing

That includes the haircards!!! All ZBrush
And I can attest that ZB is easily the most powerful tool for hair card placement, and it is just completely under used for this purpose
All realtime in UE5

Ey viva! Obrigado

Looks amazing! I love that you used Linux for creating this piece. Like many Windows users, I’m slowly getting more and more fed up with how Microsoft is handling things.

I’ve tried to do some research in getting ZBrush working properly on Linux, but there are always issues listed such as losing pen-pressure (these are guides from 2023 however), which is a pretty big dealbreaker for me. Have those issues been resolved, or is it still quite janky to run Zbrush on linux?

Hey! Thanks

With Linux, I just recommend actually trying it out on the side and seeing if it works in practice for you. Like running it on a separate device or disk

To answer your question directly, zbrush doesn’t work natively, so youll use a middle layer program called wine that lets you run windows programs with almost native performance. But that’s also why you’ll get a quirk or two

The pen sensitivity is still a thing, but I found a way around it and i don’t really have to worry about it anymore. It came down to a conflict with the file manager. So I’m just using the lightbox to load files into zbrush, and using the quick save instead of regular save. Been doing that for a long time. So you’ll have silly things like that

Anyways Hope this helps! Best of luck
