Hi,
I tried to get small icon like you get beside big one in alpha tab, brush tab and Material tab.
I wanted to put them in a bar by taking a small icon because the main is too big, but it seems that only the main icon is updated while I’m changing material or alpha, how can I make a small icon who is updated?

If you press a small icon to select a new alpha/brush/material/texture/tool, both the small and large icon will show the newly selected item. If you press the large icon to select a new alpha/brush/material/texture/tool, then only the large icon will update.
The small icons are containers and shortcuts to items, but can also be used to select new items.
The large icons are specifically for selecting and displaying the currently selected item.
If you want to use the small icons you should only use 1 small icon for each item type (alpha/brush/…) and keep using that icon for selecting new items.

ps. you can get even smaller icons by disabling Preferences > Interface > Wide Buttons.

Thanks, that make sense but what I wanted to have is a little icon for my alpha like that I can check quickly what is the current alpha I got on my brush.
But it seems to be impossible to have what I want, I already got little icons for brush but I don’t want to have the same thing for alpha or material.
I will use the right click popup even if that’s not exactly what I wanted.
I am not sure I understand why using only small icons to select things is a problem. If you are using the small icons to check what is selected then you probably do not have any large icons on the interface. Why not simply click the small icon to bring up the alpha/brush/material/… browser to select an item ?
But you are right, you cannot have a small icon to check the currently selected item if you use macros/zscripts or the large icon to select new items.
Because what I wanted to have is a visual information that I could quickly check.
I can use Right click to select my alpha or material, that’s not the problem of being unable to select an item with small icon, what I wanted to have is a visual information of my alpha on my interface that is not a big icon.
The large icon is the only one that updates regardless of how you select the alpha or other item. You can adjust the icon size thru the Preferences:Interface:Button Size slider but if you have that at 40 then the icon is nearly as small as it will go, and note that all interface buttons will be resized too.

The line with two triangle at left, right and bottom who allow you to pull differents menu.
Is it possible to disable their display one by one?

Just click on a handle to close it. To hide the shelf for the largest view of the canvas press TAB.
