Custom UI button changing when re-opened..

Hiya!

I made a custom UI and it seems something strange is happening when I reload zbrush.

After creating the UI exactly how I want it I…

  • went up to Preferences > Config > Enable Customize (to turn it off).
  • Preferences > Config > Store Config
  • Preferences > Config > Save UI

After that I closed and reopened zbrush, and everything is exactly how it was EXCEPT FOR ONE BUTTON.

My Dynamesh “Polish” button that I dragged out of the Geometry>Dynamesh menu and onto the bottom shelf has changed itself into the Shadowbox polish slider!

I took a few screenshots to better illustrate this issue…

Anyone have any clue why this would happen?
I could edit the ui every time I reopen, but that’s a huge pain and kinda defeats the purpose of a custom UI in the first place…

THANKS!

that button will always be overwritten by it. it’s a known bug.

Alrighty, I thought that might be the case - thanks for clearing that up!

Will it be fixed in 4r7 or anyone know how to solve this problem now? So annoying bug. Thx for reply.

Is your computer configured to launch ZBrush when you click on a .zpr file? If so, when you click an icon to open that project, your UI should be as expected.

Thx for reply, but it doesn’t work in my case. By clicking on .zpr file, zbrush starts and i see polish slider from shadowbox.
