Custom Brush UI question

I’ve seen in some pics and videos that people manages to move their frequent brushes to the down part of the expandable divider. How do i do that?

It’s easy:


  1. Enable Preferences>Custom UI>Enable Customize
  2. Hold Ctrl and drag the brush icon to where you want it. When it gets close to the bottom shelf, you’ll see a border appear to show you where it can go.
  3. When things are set the way you want, turn off Enable Customize.
  4. Press Ctrl+Shift+I to store your new configuration. Or if you want to use this UI only part of the time, press Preferences>Config>Save Ui and give it a name. You can later use the Load Ui button to restore that interface whenever you need it.
You may also want to make sure that Preferences>Interface>Wide Buttons is turned off. That changes the brush icons to be square rather than rectangular.
