Custom Alpha's

Hi All, I am new to Zbrush, and running 3.2 on a mac sadly :frowning:

Having trouble loading in some alpha’s.

I have an alpha of a nike swoosh, and when i import into zbrush, it gets offset vertically to where half the swoosh is on the bottom of the image and half is on top. really odd.

Anyone know why this is happening?

also, in general, is this a good place to ask basic zbrush questions, or is there a better forum/venue?

thanks!

if u have photoshop try making the canvas a box 1000px X 1000px, make the bottom layer solid black or 50% grey for nutural and center the nike tick on a layer above. Black is subtractive and white is additive and grey is nutural. If u want the tick to stick out a lot make it white on a black background. save it as a psd or jpeg. in zbrush import alpha from alpha menu. I use this method and it works for me.

If u dont have photoshop use a picture viewer that u can chant contrast and brightness and do it that way.

make sure its a jpeg and its a square. hope this helps

thanks. for some reason a PSD wasn’t working. but a jpg worked. really weird how it sliced the image like that.
