Curvetube Snap brush: How to work with it

Hey All Zbrushers.

I am curious. I am attempting to do a stylized cartoon head, and I played with appending a sphere and dynameshing it, and it was doing well, but I felt that I should go a different way because I will be exporting this to Maya for facial rigging. So I found a video sort of showing this remarkable tool and I’ve gotten curves laid out for testing. Now what I want to do is inflate each, manipulate each curve individually, and maybe even just make the hair a subtool.

So right there, are several questions.

  1. how do I make so that I can just select each hair element(curve)? I have the auto masking in the draw/curve set to 100.
  2. How do I make all the hair a dynamesh so that I can just sculpt til my hearts content?

If there is a better method for creating a cartoony, rubber like looking hair, then all be it, let me know :).

I’ve attached the pre-development stage that I am at with the hair.

Thanks again!

Sean

So I figured how to get em to work. SO I though I’d post what I have so far. Now to complete the coloring of the hair, add a bit of poly paint, and the get it ready to export to Maya.

Any suggestions always appreciated.

Take care,

Sean
