Curve tube editing different in R4 from R2

Hi,

I’ve noticed that the curve tube editing is much harder in r4.

I have checked that all my settings are the same but in R4 editing the middle of the curve will drag the ends in like it is trying to maintain the same length… this doesn’t happen in R2. It actually adds new segments to the curve.
Setting the lock start and end to on in R4 helps slightly but the curve acts as though it is still trying to maintain length with no extra segments…

Is there an option to get this behaviour in r4

Also, if you want to extend the length of a curve, you will see a red line snap to the end point as you approach it. Once it snaps, you can continue the curve.

Thanks for the quick response…

Adding curves together like this seems very technical and fiddly compared to being able to add segments to the curve with the brush… any idea why this was removed?
