Curve mask behaving strangely

Hi All

I’ve got an issue with curve mask. If I use it on the model I’m working on, it seems to ignore the shape I draw and creates an X, or shapes in other locations on the model. If I exit the project and try it on a primitive it works fine. I’ve tried init ZBrush and resetting the brushes, neither works. Has anyone experienced this or knows what it might be?

Thanks, Robbie

Could it be you have symmetry turned on and that is effecting it?

Pics or it didn’t happen.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is. I’m trying both curve trim and curve mask. This guy seems to be using curve trim with symmetry, this is the video I’m following;

Its the exact point I’ve reached (my first ever sculpt). I’ll take some screen grabs and post…

Ok so trim curve is working with symmetry turned off;

Seems odd- that video, when he swings around to the other side of the model, it looks like he’s got both sides in one go…
