Curve Editable Brush Question

I have been using the Curve Editable brush to detail a character’s clothing and have a bit of an issue. I want to use Curve editable to scult and paint a series of cylindrical beads sewn over the fabric. I’m using an alpha of a cylindrical shape with the long axis horizontal in the alpha. The edges are black and the transparency is dead on. The problem is that the long alpha shape does not floow the curve of the line I make with the Curve Editable brush. As long as the line is straight, the beads are straight. If there is any bend in the line, the beads do not follow the bend, but all keep the same orientation.

Is there a way to get the alpha to follow the orientation or bank of the curve?

I have other ways to get the effect, but this tool seems like a good pick as long as I can get this solved.

Thanks.

I’m not sure if you can use the roll feature ‘stroke menu’ with this particular brush, but roll does solve similar problems for me.
