i don’t know if other mac user experiencing this, but sometime i open the zbrush 4 the actions require ctrl key to function are just not working (undo, masking…etc), any other hot keys works just fine. initialize and restart the zbrush doesn’t solve the problem unless i restart the computer, it happens really random. i also re-installed the program and checked my keys which works on other programs. please help
Late answer, but for the record :
it’s not specifically a zbrush issue. If ever you use google chrome browser on osX, this is a bug due to chrome disabling all keylogging features when you type in something in a password field (in some form). This also causes incompatibilities with utilities such as Textexpander (as a matter of fact that’s how I discovered chrome was causing the issue on my mac).
Try closing chrome. Usually, CTRL key works again.
Another workaround is to switch from the app in which CTRL is not working to another app (I usually keep the ‘activity monitor’ minified window on top for that purpose), do some left and right clicks, do the same on the desktop, come back to the problematic app. Usually, CTRL works again… untill chrome is brought back in the foreground again.
This chrome issue has already been signaled and hopefully will be fixed in a coming release.
