CT Scan Data

Hello dear community

I’m working with mri data and ct data both from evolutionary biology and neuroradiology.
Sometimes I need these data sets to be 3d printed.
I’ve rummaged the pixologic page, this forum, youtube and so on…
All I was able to find out was only little infos from different pages & information sources.

1.) Is there a standardised way or known best practice to repair and clean scan data?
2.) Especially with major steps within zbrush? Or a well functioning combination of zbrush and other applications?

Links I consider as helpful in working with scan data:

Here one can find out that the usage of dynamesh and the projection tools could be useful:

3D Slicer and 3D printing:

With mesh mixer:

If someone knows how to clean scan data and prepare it in a proper way for 3d printing, please help out by listing the different steps he’s going through. Thank you very much!
