Hello Peoples,
I’m trying to sculpt some nice ice asteroids but alas, I’m new to zBrush and I haven’t entirely decided how I want them to look yet.
Still, having found some reference and considering a few ideas on which direction they could go I dived straight in with the results posted below.
I guess there are a few broad directions:
- Crystalline, hard edged and sharp.
- Slightly melted with smoother edges.
I started from the same low poly mesh for each and mainly used the MalletFast brush with a square alpha, flat brush, pinch and smooth. I watched the tutorial on the PlanarCut brush with both plane and line settings but I’m finding it difficult to get both a nice faceted look and really sharp edges.
Any tips/tricks and comments/advice would be greatly appreciated.
