This is my attempt at depicting Jesus’ crucifixion on the cross, as biblically accurate as I could. I went back and forth on the method of nailing his hands/wrists to the cross but in the end, I had to take some artistic license. Maybe it’ll open an interesting conversation! But there’s no doubt He surely died a gruesome death and bore an unfathomable weight of all mankind’s sins. That includes me and you.
I will say laying down countless strokes for the lashings and wounds was quite the moving experience.
Oh, and the languages on the sign are Aramaic, Greek, and Latin for “Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews”
