Hi all,
I’m new to ZBrush, but I thought it would be great for solving the problem I’m currently working on in a 3d modeling project.
I’m working on a car model (done with XSI) and I’m almost done, except for tire textures (and head/tail light textures).
So I’ve done the tires, but they are completely smooth. The textures I’m looking to create don’t have to be super accurate and I really don’t have great aspiration for actually poly modeling them on the surface. Nor do I have good enough Photoshop skills to create realistic looking bump maps :o.
I thought this might be easier with ZBrush, or am I totally wrong?
Is there a way for example to take a photo of a tire and use that as mask, so that painting on that would almost automatically create the surface of the tire? Or some other way I didn’t think of
?
Thanks!
