Creating Bandage Wraps [Answered]

I need to wrap parts of my character in bandages. I can not seem to figure out a good method to begin.

I am thinking masking the parts I need wrapped, then extracting and then sculpting…?

Does anyone have any good tips for the actuall sculpting of the bandages…looking at it, it would take a lot of work to get nice even flat square “pieces of bandage” to sculpt…

here is a great example of what I am looking for by ta fantastic artist.

I think I’d use the Topology brush. You can then create strips that have regular quads (and thickness) whereas if you use mesh extract you’ll be limited by the underlying topology.

Before I would recommend the clay buildup brush. But now with R4 I’d go with the topology brush like Marcus mentions.

I only have R2.

Would doing a zsphere and editing the topology work same way?

Your missing out on some really remarkable new features if you don’t upgrade to ZBrush 4R4 P2. Just saying.
