creating 4 k maps

Hi all.

I ran into this problem before and solved it I think, but now have forgotten what I did. Did some checking around the forums and can’t quite find the exact solution I am looking for.

I zapp link painted onto my level9 subD model, and was trying to transfer the painting onto a 4k texture.

if I do not create a new 4k map and hit color>texture it creates a default 1024 map

if I go to texture and change settings to 4k and hit new. It makes my colored mesh disappear so that when I hit color>texture nothing happens. I know that I am just not hitting 1 button and I can’t remember what it is.

If any of you can give the quick answer or poi8nt me to the right thread it would be appreciated.

The answer is to restart Zbrush. It appears to be a minor bug or display error.

make sure you have rgb turned on, at 100%.

Also, when you create a new texture it overrides your polypaint. it is still there, it’s just “under” the texture. pressing col>txr should place the polypaint to the texture and you will see your color again.
