Create texture from polypaint

Having an issue with creating a texture from polypaint. Images below

its a scanned model that has been cleaned, retopo and uv unwrapped in zbrush.

polypaint from texture is applied but when we go to create a new texture from polypaint with the new uv from zbrush it gets some weird results and stretching. especially with more complex and intricate models.

Is there any advice on workflow or settings in order to eliminate this issue. also some advice on why this happens would be of great benefit as I am new to the zbrush world and havent yet figured everything out.

Image on the left is the messed up texture after clicking create new from polypaint and the image on the right is what the objects texture is supposed to look like

Maybe editing the UV with the Move brush so the object isn’t touching the edge of the tile.
