Crazy Camera

Ive been using zbrush for a few days now, however, when im in transform mode sculpting, and I need to reorient my view, I use the rotate button on the right, but when im rotating, the camera responds unpredictably, with the floor grid enabled, the camera appears to be turning on all axises, and this makes sculpting quite difficult if I cant tell what direction is down for my work. is there some alternate setting that makes the camera behave as if the model itself was on a lazy Susan, without actually rotating the model itself?

There are no settings in ZBrush to do that , but you can try the Y Axis Rotationplugin by marcus_civis.

the viewing space is 2.5 dimensional so it is not possible to move the camera. there is setting which makes it easier for newer users in the transform pallet shown below. or you could use the http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Timeline

THANK YOU, that was EXACTLY what I was looking for, I click the Y button, and navigation of my view is exactly what I needed.
