Crash when using ZSpheres (creating Adaptive Skin) (Mac, Lion 10.7.3, 4R3)

Hi there,

anybody else facing the following problem?

  • I create a ZSphere, press T for edit mode.
  • Press X for x symmetry.
  • Create some other ZSphere exactly where the two green circles meet.
  • Press A - Adapative Skin working fine.
  • Now need to close up that Adaptive skin on the other side: Rotate view to the opposite site and create another ZSphere just like the second one. This Sphere already looks a bit different than the other ones - also the interconnection looks semi transparent.
  • Press A for Adaptive Skin and get a reproducable crash.

I’m pretty sure this worked a while ago (years) when I last used ZSpheres…

Seems I now have to explicitly activate my very first Sphere in order to get the third Sphere connected to it.

I am getting the exact same thing. But in 4r4 and Mac OS 10.6.8

Anyone got any ideas???
