crash cleaningup in maya

Hi guys,

I made a model in maya then exported to maya for texturing. Its now back in maya and I’m having issues.

When I go to render with mental ray it comes up rendered in1 second showing nothing except a black screen. Script says issueswith geometry faces which I assume is why it won’t render.

I go to clean up geometry and it all works exceptthe non manifold geometry which crashes maya - fatal error writing to xxxxx.

So my questions are…why did zbrush crapola up my polys so much and why can’t I clean it up, also can I re-export from zbrush without all the geometry issues?
