Couple Of ZBrush Beginner Questions

Hi guys
I’ve only recently started to use ZBrush and there are a couple of questions that i’m hoping someone can help me out with -

  1. Is there any way of rendering in ZBrush (like in Max) because currently I am ‘print screening’ my work?
  2. When ‘print screening’/rendering work, is it best to have ‘perspective’ active?

Thanks

You can save your rendered view from the Document / Export button
If you set the output format to jpg you will then get the option to crop your image and make some other changes. (jpg export is currently broken for Zbrish4R3 on OSX)

Thanks a lot for the quick response, much appreciated!

  1. Aside from Exporting the document, if you wanted access to the various passes BPR creates (shaded, depth, ao, etc), you could go to the Render Palette, open the BPR Render Pass Subpallete, and click on the individual passes that were created to export them.

You can also use the Movie Palette to record and export and movies (animations, turn tables, etc)

  1. Perspective is up to you. I personally prefer it as orthographic can be unnatural to see, but there are times when I’ll keep perspective off (like if I’m doing a model sheel of a character, or want a perfect sideview of a technical model I’m working on).
