Hi Alex!

The concept drawing came out really really nice. I bet you’re going to have a lot of fun making all those small little details and wrinkles your character has. I was wondering, are you sculpting right now with water based clay? It looks like it. I have a 50lb of water based clay here at home but can’t use it yet. Don’t have a place to work with it and make a mess! hehehe.

I’ve been using the Axner Premium Clay. It works pretty good and now that I see you working with it, I feel like working on some sculpture. I wanted to ask you something about oil based clay. I live here in Florida and I’ve been trying to look for a place that sales Chavant Clay. I can’t find any place that sales it! By any chance do you know any store online or art supply store that might have it?

Ok, keep the good work and have a good one!

Cool Alex, Nice to see somebody pushing clay and pencils around for a change. I’m looking forward to seeing this finished.

hey alex!

-this is really fun watching.
the concept is awesome (think i, told you before).
in the concept drawing. it looks like you got two colors, a “normal” pencil and a red-ish one. is that true or is it just photoshop, brush-up?

i surely will continue to follow your steps on this one.

Hey Alex!

Thanks for the info! Somebody from the art store Pearl told me that me the same thing and plus Chavant stoped selling clay to all Pearl stores! :frowning: Ill give Chavant a call to see where I can buy there clay around here. Again, Thanks Alex!

I was wondering… Do you have any pictures of your armature? Do you like to put some news paper inside or some foil paper to bulk and save some clay? Well that also depends if you’re going to fire it. What do you recommend? Im going to be doing some heads and character maquettes with oil base clay(Chavant,Roma) and I wanted to save some clay!

Keep the good work Alex. Very inspiring!

Javier Loredo.
