Copying sculpted detail from one area to another

I’ve tried searching for an answer to this but I don’t really know exactly what to look for so have had no luck.

My problem is this: I’m trying to make a belt with skulls sculpted around its circumference. They all need to be the same, but will probably not line up to symmetry lines within Zbrush, meaning that I will need to sculpt one of them and then transfer that detail to other parts of the geometry. I don’t really want to use alphas to achieve this because I imagine some parts of the skull will overhang other parts.

Is there any way to take a bit of sculpted detail, and copy it to another area? I.e. sculpt one skull, and then magically transfer a copy to any other part of the belt?

Thanks

If you create a single skull out of separate geometry you could then use the MeshInsert brush to add instances of the skull to your model, though note that to do this your mesh can’t have subdivision levels. You could also use the ZProject brush to copy the skulls to your mesh, perhaps after creating a separate subtool for the skulls using the MeshInsert brush, though you will have to be careful with overlapping areas.
