copying/duplicating mesh - how did this person do it?

So I found this quick little video of this person creating a fur ball in zbrush, and I loved their result, so I decided to try it out for myself.

http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category/howto/watch/v17186380CZ5Zwewf

I got as far as creating a single hair strand, before I realized I have no idea how he/she went about duplicating the strands repeatedly. Somehow they were able to duplicate the single strand, rotate it, combine it with the original, and they repeat the process now with 2 strands ( 2-4-8-16 etc.) The video doesn’t show the controls, nor do they talk about it.

i tried researching duplicating/copying/mirroring meshes, but all the tutorials I found doesn’t seem to match what this person was doing.

I’m still new at zbrush, so I definitely don’t know everything ._.

any help/thoughts/ideas?

Hey there,

just use the Subtool Master. You’ll find everything you need there. (Top Menu/Zplugin/Subtool Master)

Hope that helps.

ffffff - of course it was that easy. :stuck_out_tongue: it always turns about to be right in front of my face.

thanks for the help

Well … as long as you look at your screen it will always be like that :D:D:D
